Why we use IgG4 testingblood intolerance test

At Test Your Intolerance, our allergy test & our intolerance test test for IgG4 over IgG1 or total IgG. We believe this gives the most accurate possible results as it avoids the potential for false-positives. Testing both IgG1 and IgG4 can sometimes lead to many unnecessary food eliminations. With IgG4 presenting itself as an antibody, it is a more clinically applicable marker of chronic food-immune reactions. This also includes possible intestinal hyperpermeability. So, compared against each other, between IgG1 and IgG4, IgG4 measurements are less likely to produce false-positives on in-vitro tests. When measuring all ranges of IgG, or total IgG, it is more likely that these antibodies will result in a higher rate of false-positive reactions.

Why Blood Testing Is Best

When we test blood, we’re finding antibodies where they’re most present. Our blood allergy test and our blood intolerance test will identify the presence of antibodies within the blood. IgE, which are the antibodies produced to fight your body’s corner against an allergen or intolerance, is only found within the blood. As the presence of antibodies is the best indicator, this makes blood the most reliable form of testing.
