Grilled Apricot salad with CBD Oil - Test Your Intolerance

People have been cooking with cannabis as early as 10th century in India, where mixtures of ground cannabis flowers and milk were used for spiritual purposes.

Similar recipes have been discovered in renaissance Italy, so it’s not been exclusive to any specific geographical location. But it wasn’t until the second half of the last century that cooking with this herb became so widely popular.

Cannabis is a food-friendly herb that can add a plethora of health benefits to a hearty meal. It’s no wonder the plant’s popularity is booming as much as it is. Cooking with CBD oil is relatively new, so you should expect a few hiccups here and there. As such, we recommend starting by cooking in smaller batches, to avoid wasting your ingredients, especially with how expensive CBD oil can be.

Grilled Apricot, Watermelon & Arugula CBD Summer Salad

This refreshing grilled apricot salad is an excellent recipe for those summer heatwaves. It’s quick and easy to make and uses 99% pure CBD isolate powder.

Ingredients

Salad:

  • ½ medium watermelon, cubed
  • ¼ red onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Feta cheese
  • 2-3 small-sized apricots, sliced into sixths
  • 80g arugula
  • A handful of mint leaves, chopped

CBD-infused honey balsamic dressing:

  • 0.25 grams 99% pure CBD isolate powder
  • 120ml balsamic vinegar
  • 60ml extra virgin olive oil (cold-pressed)
  • 85g honey
  • Himalayan salt and black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat a grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Rinse and slice your apricots, then brush them lightly with olive oil and place them on a grill pan.
  3. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side. This should be just enough to caramelise the apricots. Take off the heat and set aside.
  4. Place the watermelon, mint and onion in a bowl and set them aside too.
  5. For the vinegar, whisk together your balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and honey along with 0.25 grams of the CBD isolate powder. Mix until well combined and then season with salt and pepper.
  6. Take out a salad bowl and add the mint, arugula, and red onion. Pour your desired amount of dressing to the bowl and toss well. You can use a tablespoon to measure out the dressing if you wish.
  7. Share out the salad among a few plates and top with grilled apricots, cubed watermelon, and a sprinkle of feta cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking With CBD Oil: Final Thoughts

Rest assured, this recipe and other CBD infusions won’t make you high. As their THC content is below 0.3% —which is insufficient to produce any psychoactive effects whatsoever.

Making CBD-infused recipes can be both fun and rewarding, given the many health benefits attributed to CBD oil. Adding CBD oils to your food instead of inhaling the CBD is also a great way to ensure a slower release of those cannabidiols into your system.
